Last semester!!!!

I know i have not blogged for a month. Some ppl are questioning me. Sorry la... busy with school. Taking 4modules is scary for an archi student.

On top of it, i got my dissertation to start on(outline by CNY) and 10 Guest Lecture review to hand in by April. Mammonth stuff!!!

This is my so-called last semester as an undergraduate in NUS, but this doesn't mean i'm FINISHED with school. I STILL have another year to go for my masters.

At the start of the year, our tutors treated us pizza after we presented on our Shanghai-China trip.

DTS(Design Technology Studio) had a new old place. They renovated some com labs and combined space large enough for 4 studios. Bad point is, the sides are glass = Fish Tank. People always stare at us when they walk pass.

Busy start for 2010

Wow wow wow.... I've stepped into 2010 for Year 4 Semester TWO!

School suppose to start officially next week but i've already been going school for 3D Rhino lessons. Despite getting on my toes for CORS module bidding and school, i've spent my New year with a nice bunch of friends. ;-)


Hopefully 2010 will be a good year for me.

Wanted to take a picture of what i got from the supermarket. But i juz realised i lend my fone to my classmate as her alarm. :S Pictures will be later then.

Rushed down to Art Friend to get supplies for final model. Tough luck, main branch ran out of the thinnest Midwest Basswood sheet. So i went home in the drizzle to drop my dirty clothes n pack fresh ones. Room sweet room. I miss its cosiness despite the mess.

After having a pleasant surprise back at home (:x), i made my way down to Taka Art Friend like there's a 70% sale at Zara(ya right in a million years).

I took the WHOLE stack of what i see on the shelve. Only 11pieces of 0.15mm left. Found a few other wood size that i need and made my way to the slow cashier.

The bill come up to $100.15. Nice number.

Off to the supermarket and strangely, i don't feel the hunger. Must be the wonder of hashbrown at noon.

Got a mega loaf of bread, nutella and fav orange marmalade. Was staring hard at the range of tea. I love tea but the shrinking bank account drove me to pick Dilmah Variety pack.

Decided to have dinner at this cosy japanese chain restaurant called Ootoya @ Orchard Central. Not much seating so we got to sit at the counter. I dun mind la...

I ordered hamburger steak and fried chicken with special sauce as side dish.

After dinner, went for a mini workout to HMV and That CD shop @ Pacific Plaza.

Reaching that CD shop, they r playing Michael Bolton's song. His voice so soothing.... *melt*

Think we hang around in That CD shop about an hour. I tested Yo-yo Ma's cd. Zen inspired tone but it made me sleepy. >.<

As its getting late, we pop over to the pretty dessert shop at shaw...

haha....I got my fav black forest cake. Different from Hyatt's Mezza9's black forest. Still, its so yummy!!!!

Aha! Got my Sky Wu cd!!!! his voice sho shuai!!!!

My online gift from Lay Har ha hahaha!!!! Muz sarpork her Speechless Cactus! I gotch link her on the side menu. Cute rite???

Visit the cactus more often. IMO, Cactus is better and cuter than matchstick girl.

hASH bites: Triathlon

No... i 'm not joining a triathlon.... i can't swim for 5 metres!

What i mean is shoot wedding feels like a triathlon to me. So many actions to do one after another.
The speed goes like --> Morning wake up, run to bath, run out of house to go to destination, shoot shoot shoot, sweat sweat sweat, sit here, stand here, squat here crouch there, get home, charge battery, sit down, transfer photo, run to bath again, take everything and off to wedding dinner!!!!

Wow.... must work harder liao...

My dad broke my 1year+ of silence from bak chang (glutinous rice dumpling)... He bought this yummy vegetarian dumpling from the hawker near my house. I decided to have half of it. *resist resist* muz run more liao.

Anyway, i realized that i forgot to mention bout the Yellow ribbon run that i went a few sundays ago with my cell mates and Bee.
It was a cooling morning with very very lite drizzle. Although the 10km course is over hills n slopes, i managed to pull through 2mins past an hour.

i think dentists are good looking

on an early tuesday morning, instead of going for my short 5km run, i went for a dental appointment in school at 9.30am...

My last dental appointment was in last year December.... the handsome polyclinic dentist gave me a mouthful of clean teeth and bloody mouth. I suppose to see him again in June but holiday work commitments forced me to cancel it.

Surprisingly, the dental clinic in school is queue free. I booked it last week with my friend and the next week, we can have the appointment. Polyclinics made me wait for 6 months to a year.

From my last dental visit, i mention to the dentist bout my problem with my left jaw. I can't bite hard food like baguette or super crispy fried chicken. I can't yawn properly cuz when i nid to shut it, it snaps. The sound is horrible... it sounded like my knee.

so after 30mins of mouth opening, googles wearing, pain bearing session. Good looking NUS dentist gave me this.

I hope he don't cost a bomb.

Yes... it is holiday now... but i'm taking part in a landscape competition with 4 of my friends. Feels like school again. Dateline coming FRIDAY...Got to print by Thurs.

Seems like holiday has made me some how busier. Just came back from a half day birthday celebration for my poly classmate+ colleague friend, Jonathan. *hey, if you reading this, not everyone gets to be mentioned on my blog ok?

Celebration was located at the unfamiliar-to-me-west side of Singapore, Ayer Rajah Market. Had a big feast of 'zi char' with my poly friends. 10 of us, some i have not seen for 3 years? Lost count la...
Dinner menu for the night: stingray, 'la-la', wrapped prawn, 2 dishes of vege, satay, chicken wings, hot plate toufu & pork rib king. Didn't have a digital camera with me & i'm lugging round my laptop. Can't share good food with my readers.


Met up with YY on friday nite, as she prefers this timing and had a good catching up session with her.
Wanted to get a facial scrub from Bodyshop & i remember that she has the card. So we sort of arranged it quickly and meet up.

Haven been really talking to YY much cuz of my school and she's working. Long and short, we got busy with our own lives, but i really thank God that i have such a nice friend around.
Brian joined us for dinner as well, and i want my best friend to know who i hang out and vice versa. :D So Div, Reda & Martin will get the special intro next time soon i hope.

Here come the exciting part. Despite being full from japanese cuisine, i had the urge for something sweet like ice cream. MOF was packed so we tot of trying Ajisen tei. Turns out that it was closed down for renovation. Argh....
YY mentioned that she seen an interesting cafe at the new Illuma. Illuma is a new shopping centre designed by WOHA. I find it is a bold move for a developer, Jack Investment. I can say, they are a very good client to any architects. I'll talk about it more when i get my 12-24mm & S5pro in the building.

The mentioned cafe is Benten cafe, at the 1st storey of Illuma. Visible from the main road, it is a small cafe with generous serving of food. I'm not sure if they are related to this Ben10.

I'm not called up for RIBA interview with the external examiners. I'll update and explain about this exam, as alot got no idea what is it.

Somehow I can breathe freely even though i felt heavy after my 日本語の試験.

Now at 1am, can't sleep and a bit hungry and self-declared bankrupt, i started doing abit of my back-log photography. As usual, i dig out my personal fav.

皆さん、今日は日本語でブロクを書きます。月曜日に日本語試験あります。日本語はおもしろいですが、難しいです。I need quite abit of time then can form a sentence.

子供カバさん、if got very wrong sentence, correct me ok?
I prefer to learn a language at my own time. I would say NUS's Japanese classes are very good but not for busy people from architecture. 大変ですね。

I am more worried bout RIBA crit panel on monday than my japanese exam. Got a feeling i might get it and might .....

Wow... i don't know where to start. Been busy taking Japanese lessons in school and design studio. Having projects over CNY is bad cuz u will be out visiting, gathering and too tired from eating to do any work.

Anyway, my hard disk in my laptop has reached its max... left 1.3gb of free space. Die la.... >.<

1st fever for 2009

WTH..... got a virus attack. had a 39.4 fever on wednesday evening n i drag myself to the doctor. Wanted to self medicate but i cant take it.

the doc gave me some normal pills, 1 set of paracetamol and pills for dizzyness. Told him i having headache... not dizzy!

Anyway, after many hours of sleep and boredom... my temperature is now at 36.4... woo hoo....

getting high from the pills liao.
