Yesterday was having lunch with my site colleagues and 1 of them shared about her new flat purchase.

We were quite amazed at the price she paid for a 4 room flat near Sembawang MRT. Cheap + low COV.

Reason for low COV: Divorce case.

The couple is young (late 20s). Have a family of their own.

These 2 reasons are good enough to keep our jaws opened for a good 10s.

Self-thinking process: marriage nowadays becomes worthless? 1 wrong made all the rights void?

2012 to 2013

Well well well... It's 2013! Where's that so-called end of the world??? :p 
Like most people who writes diary or blog or write-on-scraps-of-paper-dump-in tin method, the new year will have a new post at the start of the year.

Mine got a bit late as usual. Mainly due to work. Work, work... Why is architecture like this? 

Let's not get into the mode of whining at the start of the new year.  I love the start of the year so I shall "spring" some thoughts for the year ahead.

A year of loving myself
Knowing myself

A year of learning and choices

A year of tremendous changes from school to work

Thank you God for seeing me through those hard times. Fallen down into the dark valleys but Your great wings gave me flight. Not just once but twice or more.

Work area: More responsibilities, steeper learning curve. Even my work table looks more scary than my own room. I'm not bitching bout it cuz i'm thankful for the situation that i can learn and opportunity that not every fresh grad can get to do. :)

For a few good months, i enjoy having time for myself. Sometimes i find a little strange. As most of my peeps who hang out with me for the necessary human feeding times, i cut down on carbs (other than my weakness for chocolate & cheese cake). Meat craving are common so the need for buffet stuns increased. 
In order not to spend too much and get to eat what I want to eat, i cook. Yes cook. Not some Michelin star chef or Ratatoulie. Still decent.

Steak is my love - Iron & Protein

Salmon is good too!

Other than eating well, i got sick a few times due to stress. 

Travelling: I love to travel. Due to budget constraints, i travel via Google Earth on many occassions. 2012 Dec, i manage to go to Bangkok(again, ya i know) and Taman Negara.

Bangkok was a solo trip. Was amazingly good till i wanna stay there and not come back. Posted some Bangkok trip photos from my phone - See 6-9 December 2012 post.

Started the year with an old friend. Kinda funny that we hardly talk before. Some things can't explain.

Singapore: The ComplaiNation

It's the holiday season and more people are staying home clearing their leave.

Working in a consulting firm still got to handle complaints from the public. My PR skills is not top notch but the Libra side of me is very accommodating to cool their displeasures.

In Summary: S'poreans complaining lights too bright, roof too ugly and noisy works.They should close their eyes, cover ears and shut their mouth up.

The world may seem to come to an end.... So GET A LIFE.

Funny truths about life in small Singapore....

1. Nite - Sleep with air-con; Day - Bathe with heater on

2. Day - Cannot Wake up; Nite - Cannot Sleep

3. Translation is needed between Singaporean Chinese and Mainland Chinese

4. Smell Of rubbish besides letterboxes; Rubbish inside Letterbox

5. Spore Chinese use different languages other then Chinese to communicate.

6. Sporean never like to vote, but like to complain

7. There are quite a number of rich/poor in spore - They have Car, Credit Card, CPF but no Cash and is liable to lots of loans

9. There are quite a few high-tech barbaric singaporeans - they know how to use state-of-the art equipment,
3g mobile phone and powerful computers but they dunno how to use a simple dustbin or a toilet

10. Half Sporeans rushed to buy Hello kitty, but the other half busy killing stray cats

11. Chewing Gum - Can Chew, Cannot buy?? (Restricted to buying)

12. Cigarettes - Convenient to buy; not convenient to smoke

13. Private Cars - Cheaper and Cheaper to buy, harder and harder to Maintain

14. Public Bus - Half the Crowd squeeze in front section of the Bus, Second section is for Carrying Ghost

15. Education - Teachers teaching Less but expects students to learn More

Happy Birthday Singapore!

Today is Singapore's 42nd Birthday. This will be my 1st time celebrating National Day with my 'pink' ic. The past years, i was still holding on to the blue, half-privileged Identity Card. I thank God for this new blessing cuz with a blue ic, there's monetary help tat i cant apply for. Hope this entry is enough for your eyes, anyway, i dun know why the 1st pic is so pixelated. Argh...
